Transforming Lives Through Photography
What Is It?
"Through Their Eyes" is a visual storytelling course aimed at empowering Ukrainian children through the art of photography. In collaboration with Shoot 4 Change , Maison des Cultures et de la Cohésion Sociale de Molenbeek, AT& T & Ukraininan Civil Society HUb, this initiative provides practical tools and creative outlets to enhance the mental health and well-being of young refugees in Brussels.
How It Helps?
Designed to unlock participants' creative potential and foster emotional well-being, the course integrates principles of art therapy to provide a holistic and enriching experience.
How It Works?
Over the course of eight weeks, children aged 8 to 12 will immerse themselves in captivating photography classes tailored specifically to their needs. Each session offers a safe and nurturing environment for emotional expression and artistic exploration. Guided by our experienced teachers, participants will have the opportunity to work both in the studio and at various locations across the city, expanding their creative horizons and capturing the beauty of their surroundings through the lens of a camera.
ORGANIZERS
As the culmination of the participant`s artistic journey, we organized a special exhibition to showcase the inspiring results of the project. It's a celebration of creativity, resilience, and the transformative power of art.
